FCA Serves Teachers

On Friday, November 17th, the Prophetstown High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes held an appreciation breakfast for the teachers and staff.

Prophetstown Elementary School held their Family Reading Night on Thursday.   Over 200 PES students, family members, and friends came out to enjoy books, snacks, crafts, and a magic show put on by Magic with the Meyers.


PHS In The Spirit

The PHS Leo Club and National Honor Society teams up each year for a few community service projects, one being Samaritan's Purse- Operation Christmas Child.


Tampico Elementary Celebrates Reading (photos)

Tampico Elementary School held its fourth annual Reading Fair on Thursday night in the school gym.  The night is patterned after a science fair, but with books and the option to dress in character.


Students Attend Manufacturing Day

On Tuesday the sophomore class from Prophetstown High School attended Western Whiteside County Manufacturing Day. The purpose of the day was to give information about career opportunities in the manufacturing field available for students after high school.

PHS Student Council Supports Caleb

Six year old Caleb Clausen, of Walnut, was hit by a tanker truck on Tuesday afternoon, September 19, 2017, resulting in several life threatening injuries.


"A Sea Of Blue"

With a theme of, "I Can. We Will." eight members of the Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico FFA chapter along with their advisors, attended the national convention in Indianapolis for four days at the end of October.


PLT #3 Celebrates Veterans (video) (photos)

A tradition was started many years ago in the local school district to attend school on Veteran's Day, but take time during that day to honor Veteran's. 


Meteorologist Visits TES (photos)

Students at Tampico Elementary School were treated to a visit from KWQC- TV Meteorologist Kevin Phelps on Thursday morning.
