Comets Top Lady Prophets

Shooting an ice cold 19% from the field doomed the Prophets on Monday night as they lost to Newman 47-36 in Sterling.  The Prophets were 7/32 from 2 point range and 3/20 from behind the arc.

 

The Comets were able to outscore the Prophets in the second quarter by 10 and were able to maintain that margin the rest of the game.  

 

Coach Kara Bumsted said," Newman had some good pressure, but we got shots off, just couldn't get them to fall."

 

Courtney Pierceson had 12 points and 3 rebounds for the visitors.  Dena Johnson added 10 and Hannah McKinney tossed in 6 and grabbed 4 rebounds.

 

The Frosh-Soph fell to the Comets 37-25.  Makenzie Glassburn had 14 points and 8 rebounds.

 

The Lady Prophets host Bureau Valley on Thursday.
