Lady Prophets Stop Boilers

The Lady Prophets picked up a TRAC win on the road on Wednesday with a 44-30 win over Kewanee.  The Prophets built a 10 point halftime lead and shut the door on the Boilers in the 4th quarter outscoring them 15-8.

 

Courtney Pierceson put up 21 for the Prophets with a 7/10 effort from the free throw line.  Hannah McKinney added 7 and Dena Johnson chipped in 5 points and grabbed 5 boards.

 

Coach Kara Bumsted commented,"The girls did a good job of being patient on offense and waiting for the look they wanted.  They played hard and worked well together."

 

The Frosh-Soph Prophets fell 45-41.  Three players were in double figures for the Prophets as Corrie Remley had 14,  Emma Camper tossed in 10, and Mackenzie Glassburn added 11.

 

The Ladies travel to Lena -Winslow on Saturday to take part in the 8 team L-W MLK Coach's Golf and Grill Classic.  They take on Galena at 11:15 and Stillman Valley at 1:45.  The tournament continues on Monday.
