Submitted by Mary Thormahlen
A group of moms of PES students have teamed up to run a Mom2Mom Market on Saturday, April 28th to benefit the Prophetstown Elementary School. All proceeds from the event will go directly back to the school to help fund any educational needs the school has.
The Market will be held at the Prophetstown Middle School Commons (38 Ferry Street, Prophetstown) from 7am to 1pm. There will be a $1 cover charge for shoppers, and $2 cover charge for Early Bird shoppers between 7am and 8am.
The event is open to all parents wanting to sell unwanted baby/kid items such as clothing, toys and gear, up to size 14. Any items sold at rented tables will be 100% profit of the seller. Sellers can rent a 11.5ft cafeteria table which include bench and garment rack space for $25. Sellers can also sell large items such as strollers, high chairs, outdoor playsets, etc. in the big-ticket item area. 10% of the price sold on big-ticket items will be donated to the school. (Sellers are not required to rent a table to sell big ticket items.) We will also be offering the rental of tables to some local vendors for $20. Please inquire for more info.
If you have unwanted item you would rather donate than rent a table, the PES group will be hosting their own seller’s table from donations. Proceeds benefiting the PES.
Registration will begin February 15th. Please mail forms and checks to Prophetstown Elementary School, Attn: Mom2Mom, 301 W. 3rd Street, Prophetstown, IL 61277 by April 15th to reserve a table.
