Submitted by Teri Bealer
Last Friday Prophetstown Elementary School students spent the day experiencing subjects different from their regular classroom work. For the second consecutive year teachers and staff organized Fine Arts Day.
The students were exposed to a variety of Fine Arts activities rotating through stations every 25 minutes. The school invited a variety of local artisans that covered quilt making, story telling, theater, drawing, jazzercise. puppet making with paper mache, creating a musical instrument, and cookie decorating.
The students enjoyed hands-on activities and getting involved with the local presenters.
