Vehicle Break-In Suspect Arrested

The recent rash of vehicle break-ins in Prophetstown may have been resolved with the arrest of Prophetstown man on Thursday. 

 

In a statement Prophetstown Police Chief Bruce Franks said, "On May 10 at approximately 5 PM the Prophetstown Police Department with the assistance of the Whiteside County Sheriff's Department arrested Brett Frain, 23, Prophetstown for criminal trespass to a vehicle, which occurred in the early morning hours of May 6. The  investigation is till pending and more charges could be filed.  Frain was transported to the Whiteside County jail.

 

Reports of local vehicle break-ins began surfacing at the end of April.  Frain was arrested in March of 2017 for the same crime.
