Pat's table has received a gift from the Walmart Foundation for the work done by two volunteers who work for the company and also donate time to the weekly meal.

The event was formally run by the Coon Creek Jaycees, but has not been held in several years.  The race will take place following the kids' races in the state park.

In the kind of weather that even farmers wouldn't be out working in, Pastor Jan Shaulis held a blessing of the farmers, the land, and the tractors on Saturday at the Gail and Janet Goodell farm southwest of Prophetstown.
