Football Camp Opens (video)

Under a first time varsity coach the EP Panther football program opened its 2018 camp this week in Erie.  Jesse Abbott takes over the head job after Chuck Milem resigned to take an administrative position in Macomb, Illinois.


EP Athletic Physicals

Sport Physical Night, sponsored by Genesis Health, will be held at the Erie High School Annex on Tuesday, July 31st from 5:30-7:00 PM.


PLT FFA Honored

From June 12-14th, the Prophetstown-Lyndon-Tampico FFA Chapter attended the 90th annual Illinois FFA State Convention held in Springfield. The local chapter took 5 members to the state’s capitol for three days.


District Looks For Pre-K Funding

Finding ways to fund the PLT #3 pre-K program for the upcoming school year with the topic of discussion during a special board meeting on Monday night.


School District Moves Forward With Court Renovation; Seeks Funds For Pre-K

Unfortunately, the district was notified the first week of June that Pre-K grant money was being released but the PLT District was not awarded a grant.


BOC June: Ellerbrock Resigns, Golf Courses Selected

The Panther boys's golf team will play their home meets and practice at Lake Erie Country Club with the girls' team calling Prophet Hills their home.  The tentative plan is to have the teams swap locations next season.


Mickelson Receives State Award

During the three day convention state awards are presented.  This year the Agricultural Education State Proficiency Winner was chapter president, Hailey Mickelson who is the daughter of Denise Mickelson of Tampico.


Tampico Elementary Seeking Pollinators (video)

Spring is for gardening.  It the season to till the soil and plant seeds hoping they take root and produce an edible item or a beautiful flower.


PHS Yearbook Fundraising Concert

The PHS yearbook is holding a fundraiser in Tampico on Sunday, June 3.


New Principal, New Program

The fall of 2018 will bring a new principal to Prophetstown High School and Middle School and with a new principal comes new changes. Next year, the new principal, Mr. Keith Stewart, plans to add a new program to the school. The program is called Jostens Renaissance.
