The construction will temporarily
narrow the entrance from Third Street.

Farmers National Bank In Prophetstown has started an expansion project that will add offices to the east side of the bank. Bank President Don Vogel said," The Bank had reached its limit for available office space, and while there are no immediate hiring plans, we will need the additional space in the future."

The addition will require some structural changes to two existing offices on the east side to provide access to the new offices. The project site has been fenced off and construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday with completion planned for the end of July.

Access to the lobby and to drive-up and the ATM will not be impacted, although access to the drive-through from 3rd street will be narrowed during the construction period.

The bank has also purchased the former Wachtel Dental office and plans to demolish it make the area a green space.

The bank has purchased the building across the parking
