A benefit is being planned for 20 year old Kennah Meier of Morrison.  She is the daughter of "Muck" Meier and Julie Pope of Prophetstown and James and Traci Sperry-Brown. Kennah delivered a healthy baby boy January 28th of this year. A month to the day, February 28th she ended up in the ER for something unrelated and was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The tournmanet to benefit Kennah is May 12.

She began Chemo treatments on March 9th in Sterling. She receives chemo every 2 weeks and will have more testing as the treatments continue.

Her friends will be holding a 16” Mushball Tournament to benefit her on Saturday, May 12th starting at 8 a.m. at the Tampico ball diamonds. There is also a benefit account set up in Erie at the First Trust and Savings Bank to help with expenses.

She was working at Climco, but has not been able to work since being diagnosed. She hopes to return to work when able.
