Nancy L. Peach

TAMPICO, IL – Nancy L. Peach, 85 formerly of Tampico, died Monday October 16, 2017 at Sunnybrook Living Center in Fairfield, IA.


She was born on June 24, 1932 in Moline, IL the daughter of Robert and Florence (Lungren) Whiteside. She married Willard D. Peach on June 18, 1954 in Walnut, IL. He died October 25, 2005. Nancy had worked for a number of years as a custodian at the Tampico Grade School. She was a member of the Tampico Church of Christ and had enjoyed gardening and baking.


Survivors include three sons: Larry (Karen) Peach of Fairfield, IA, Ken Peach of Peoria, IL and Bill (Diane) Peach of Story City, IA; her daughter, Barb Peach of Bella Vista, AR; her brother Robert (Beverly) Whiteside of Corpus Christi, TX; her sister, Irene (Don) DeWitte of Hillsdale, IL; four grandchildren: Corey (Jessica) Peach, Ryan Peach, Evan Peach and Anna Peach; three great grandchildren: Adleigh Peach, Aleighna Peach and August Peach.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, David Peach and her grand daughter Kate Peach.


Visitation will be held on Friday October 20, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will conclude at Tampico Memorial Cemetery.


A memorial will be established.

    Nancy was a wonderful lady! Thoughtful, kind, faithful to family, church and work. Used to have me & my brother to the house for drinks & delicious snacks whenever we worked the fields with Wayne & Ken….
