Flood waters from the Rock River are being closely monitored by IDOT.


River Still Rising

The Rock River is still rising in Prophetstown as of Monday at Noon. IDOT officials are monitoring water levels near area highways and county roads.  A flood warning continues in effect for Whiteside County.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Rock River at Como.
* Until further notice.
* At 10:30 AM Monday the stage was 14.1 feet and steady.
* Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast, Fall to 14.0 feet Tuesday morning.
* Impact, At  12.8 feet, Water begins to encroach into properties on
  Regan Road northeast of Como.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Rock River near Joslin.
* Until further notice.
* At  9:45 AM Monday the stage was 16.3 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, Rise to 17.2 feet Wednesday morning, then begin falling.
* Impact, At  16.5 feet, Water affects the lowest sections of
  Broadway and Main Street in Cleveland and affects a few homes.
