Tampico Lions Give Santa A Hand

On the last day of school before Christmas break some members of the of Tampico Lions Club, helped Santa (Walter Schultz) and Mrs. Claus (Carol Camper Schultz) deliver about 220 candy bags to the children of the Tampico Grade School.

Also helping was an Elf (Denise Brooks, Manager of the Tampico General Trading Co) who made two large plates of Christmas sugar & ginger bread cookies for the grade school staff and donated plastic Christmas bags for the children. Lion Vicki Deter donated some of the candy. Courtney Rico, a staff member of the Tampico Grade School staff, took photos.


The Tampico Lions Club will be back on schedule for their two meal/meetings a month during January-June, July-August will be Summer break, and then resuming in September.


All Tampico Lions Club meal/meetings are open to the adult public.  Youth interested in the Lions can join the Leo Club at Prophetstown High School.
