Wrestlers 6th At Holiday Invite (video/photos)

Garrett Passmore continued his undefeated season (19-0) as he rolled through the 160 pound weight class to win the title at the Panther Holiday Tournament in Erie on Saturday.  Passmore was the lone first place finisher for the Panthers and was also voted outstanding wrestler in the upper weights sharing the award with Logan Lee from Orion.

 

The Panthers took 6th place in a field of 14 teams with Lena-Winslow winning the title scoring 230 points, far outdistancing Orion with 194 points.  The Panther placed 8 wrestlers in the 14 weight classes with no wrestlers in 5 classes due to injuries and illness.

 

Placing for the Panthers:

Cameron Abell- 5th at 113

Chris Bonnell- 4th at 120

Calvin Naftzger- 5th at 152 

Garrett Passmore- 1st at 160  including 2 Falls, 1 Tech Fall, and 1 Major Decision

Tyler Smith- 5th at 160

Gabe Friedrichsen- 2nd at 182

Lucas Carey- 4th at 220

Trevor Pratt- 6th at 285

 

The Panthers travel to Rockridge on Thursday.
