The win gives EP a first ever 4-0 start and puts them a position to challenge for a conference title.
After the teams battled to a 7-7 tie at the half, the Comets scored to open the third quarter, but neither team could muster a score until the Panthers hit pay dirt on an 80-yard strike from Evan Steimle to Lane Decker.
An interception by EP’s Evan Steimle sealed the win and ended a 23 year losing streak to the Comets.
