From athletes to scientists to pioneers to political figures, the students reenacted their chosen wax museum figure with a recital, period costumes, and creative props. Their performances delighted family, friends, and the community, who could drop some coins into a bucket to hear the wax figure come to life and share their story.
The 4th Grade Wax Museum was brought back last year after a hiatus due to Covid then construction of the new school, said Principal Kali Livengood, and this year’s lesson was a complete success from start to finish. “Students had so much fun selecting their historical figure, reading about them, creating a speech and costume to represent that figure, and presenting it to the public!”
The event also raised $752.59 which will be donated to Raising Hope, a local organization that supports children in foster care.
