Dan Eyrich, AP Sports

The EP Lady Panthers had several athletes compete in the preliminary round of the IHSA State Track and Field Finals on Thursday, competing in all four relays and the open 800m.

Unfortunately, none of the EP entries made it to Saturday’s finals, but without a single senior competing, the young Panthers are sure to be back.

The 4x800m relay placed twenty-first in a forty-one team field, finishing with a time of 10:19.

Sarah Link, who part of the 4×800, also ran the open 800 and finished nineteenth in a field of thirty-five with a season best tine of 2:24.

The 4x100m relay placed thirty-fifth in a field of forty-three in a time of 52:18.

A season best 1:49 placed the 4x200m relay in twenty-seventh place out forty-four teams and in the final race of the day the 4x400m relay clocked a 4:16 to take twenty-seventh out of forty-nine.
