OnCall Imaging to Host Power in Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Event on October 3

OnCall Imaging, managed by Imaging Centers of Illinois, will host its annual Power in Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Event this Saturday, October 3rd, bringing the community together to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and support local organizations helping individuals and families affected by cancer.

The event will be held at OnCall Imaging, located at the corner of Route 30 and Route 40 in Rock Falls, from 10 a.m. to noon.

A special presentation will take place at 10:30 a.m., when Birdies Fore Boobies will present funds raised through its third annual Birdies Fore Boobies golf outing, 50/50 raffle, and bingo to HOPE Cancer Wellness Center in Dixon and Pink Heals Sauk Valley.

In 2026, HOPE Cancer Wellness Center served 356 individuals affected by cancer in the Sauk Valley area. Funds raised by Birdies Fore Boobies will help support HOPE Cancer Wellness Center’s continued efforts to provide resources and support to local cancer patients and their families.

Scooter’s Coffee in Rock Falls will also participate in the community effort with a Day of Giving on Friday, October 2nd, with funds benefiting HOPE Cancer Wellness Center. Those funds will be presented during Saturday’s Power in Pink event.

During Power in Pink, the public is invited to stop by OnCall Imaging for free refreshments inside the facility, tour the imaging center and mammography suite, learn more about breast health, and check in on their annual screening mammogram.

As part of the Power in Pink celebration, anyone who schedules their annual screening mammogram during the event will receive a mini bouquet from Berhz Bloomz, while supplies last.

About OnCall Imaging

Located at the corner of Route 30 and Route 40 in Rock Falls, OnCall Imaging has provided local imaging services to the Sauk Valley for the past three years. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the center is encouraging women throughout the area to stay on top of their breast health with convenient access to annual screening mammograms, ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound Screening) and Breast MRI.

About 1 in 8 women, or roughly 13%, in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime, making regular breast health screenings an important part of early detection.

OnCall’s mammography unit features a 4-way flex paddle, designed to flex around breast tissue for more even compression and a more comfortable mammogram experience.

One recent patient shared:

“Amazing staff, they were caring and considerate. They made sure I was comfortable during the entire process, ensuring the pressure was comfortable. Warm gown and low lights truly made it a spa-like experience. It was my first mammogram, and I will not be going anywhere else in the future. Thank you for taking the fear and anxiety away.”

With more than 200 five-star Google reviews, OnCall Imaging is committed to making the mammogram experience as comfortable as possible. Annual screening mammograms have no out-of-pocket cost after insurance, and women are encouraged to stay current with their recommended screenings.

For women with dense breast tissue, ABUS can be used as a supplemental screening tool alongside a mammogram and may help detect breast cancers that may not be seen through mammography alone. Women with dense breasts have a higher risk of developing breast cancer and may benefit from additional screening. Talk with your doctor to determine if ABUS is right for you.

OnCall Imaging also offers Breast MRI for high-risk screening and further evaluation, with a wide-bore MRI designed with patient comfort in mind.
