Terry Prince, the Director of the Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs, will attend as a special guest.
The event will bring together organizations from across the region to share information about veterans’ programs and other valuable resources.
Attendees will also hear from guest speakers, including Director Prince, and will enjoy complimentary refreshments as we honor the men and women who have served our country.
“Our veterans stepped up when our nation needed them, and this is a small way we can thank them for their commitment to our country,” Senator Arellano said. “We want to make sure veterans know about the resources and support available to them right here in our communities. I hope veterans and their families will come out and spend some time with us.”
Veteran resources are an important cause for Senator Arellano, both as a member of the Illinois Senate Veteran Affairs Committee and as a veteran himself. He has served three overseas tours as an Army Engineer and is currently assigned to the Army Reserves’ 317th Engineer Construction Company in Homewood, IL.
