One of the questions the man asked them was, “where is your God now?” Through this experience, the Van Oostens have had the opportunity to answer this question on national TV, in newspaper articles, and through the writing of their book, “Rescued for a Reason.”Â
The couple will share their story on Sunday, October 27th during the worship service at Countryside Christian Church, 3817 230th St. N., Port Byron. They have also turned the lessons they learned about trust, forgiveness, and dealing with fear into three Sunday School lessons, which they’ll present to the church’s adult Sunday school classes on November 3, 10, and 17.Â
