That’s a Wrap for Pat’s Table 2025-2026 Season

By Sarah Ford, Managing Editor

Volunteers with the Prophetstown Park District served up the last meal of the season at Pat's Table on Monday, May 11th.

Dinner consisted of BBQ pork sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, pickles, berries, and an array of brownies and cookies provided by Park District volunteers. Jenna Scifres and Paul Engwall serenaded diners with fiddle tunes and country classics.

The organization takes the summer off and will start up the monthly meals in September 2026. If you’re seeking food, friends, and fellowship, Pat’s Table is always the place to be on the second Monday of each month from 5-6 p.m. at Prophetstown United Methodist Church. The monthly meals are always free, though donations are accepted.

  1. I love, love, love seeing this program in action! Pat was my first and fifth grade teacher and later a mentor and friend. This is exactly what she would be doing–helping others! —encouraging socialization! –sharing kindness! Thank you to all that make this program happen, and I KNOW what that entails, SO many details and “working parts” than one might think!
