EP head football coach, Tyler Whitebread has announced that the football program recently received a donation from the Eric Lange Memorial Fund.
Eric Lange played football for Alleman Catholic High School in his youth and was a Jr. Rams football coach within the Riverdale School District and who was deeply committed to giving back to youth football in the Quad Cities area. He tragically was killed in a single car accident in January of 2025.
Last year, his family and friends formed the Eric Lange Memorial Fund, a charity that raises money to support local football programs. Last year, the group held the first annual Eric Lange Sporting Clay Shoot to raise funds for the cause. The primary purpose it to help families with entry fees, cleats, equipment, or even gas money.
Whitebread said, “Erie-Prophetstown was selected as two more towns that they could help with a generous donation. Thank you for the donation, and what an unbelievable way of honor the memory of Eric!”
