The EP boys track team recently concluded their season and gathered to celebrate their accomplishments and recognize several members for both individual efforts and team honors.
Six members of the squad took part in the IHSA State Track and Field Finals at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston last week, with three athletes bringing home medals.
Pole vaulters Nathan Punke and Carson Eyrich placed fifth and eighth respectively with 300m hurdler Lane Decker taking seventh.
The team had just two seniors on the roster with multiple freshmen and sophomores competing at the varsity level, which has the future of the program looking bright.
