This is a multi-generational activity that can be enjoyed by all ages. Sign up for slots at 10:15, 10:45, 11:15, 11:45, 12:15 or 12:45. Walk-ins are welcome as well, but reservations take precedence.
All participants will be able to use the mill’s stone-ground flour, mix it up, and knead it into dough. Twenty minutes later, you will have a fresh baked loaf of rye or wheat bread to take home and enjoy. While you are waiting for your bread to bake, there is a scavenger hunt available at de Immigrant Windmill (across the street). You can also take a tour of their collection of windmills, watermills, and saw mills at the Cultural Center.
The cost is $5.00 per loaf. Call Pam 563-340-0809 or email pfvz@yahoo.com to reserve your spot.
