There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial has been established.
Shirley was born on October 15, 1939, in Savanna, IL, to Merle E. and Lucille (Hannah) Chase. On December 29, 1958, she married Gary W. Drenner in Savanna, IL. They shared their lives together for over 55 years before his passing on March 17, 2014. Shirley retired from General Electric in Morrison, IL, after many years of employment. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed the excitement of finding something special, especially when it came to finding the perfect pair of shoes.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Davis and Kim Drenner both of Spring Hill, FL; one son, Kurt Drenner of Albany, IL; eight grandchildren, Dustin Davis, Tamra Sableski, Daniele (Natascha) Sexton, Danielle (Adam) Neely, Devin Drenner, Derek Drenner, Dawson (Emily Huff) Drenner, and Dolan Drenner; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Chase of North Aurora, IL, and Gary (Georgia) Chase of St. Joseph, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; three sisters, Gretchen Cossman, Bette Kozyra and Jean Eizenga-Struckman; one brother, Terry Chase.
