Springfield, IL — State Senator Li Arellano Jr (R-Dixon) is calling on families across the district to help honor the men and women who have served our country by sharing a veteran’s photo and story for the annual Veterans Day Wall of Honor.

The display will be at the Illinois State Capitol November 7-19, recognizing veterans from across Illinois and sharing their stories with visitors. It is an opportunity to recognize a family member, friend, neighbor or fellow service member whose service deserves to be remembered.

To participate, please send a photo and a written story of up to 250 words, along with the veteran’s name, military branch and conflict or era of service, to veteransday@sgop.ilga.gov by Sunday, November 6th.

Submissions may also be mailed to Veterans Day Wall, 309 G Statehouse, Springfield, IL 62706. For questions, please call (217) 782-1154.

“I hope you will join me in recognizing our veterans and ensuring their service and sacrifices remain part of the story we share with future generations,” said Senator Arellano. “Thank you for helping us honor them.”
