“If Illinois is going to become the economic and business powerhouse it has the potential to be, we need to support policies that allow major industries like manufacturing to succeed,” Senator Arellano said. “Illinois needs a pro-business environment, and people here need good jobs. We must craft and reform policy in Illinois to reflect this.”
The score reflects Senator Arellano’s support for legislation aimed at making Illinois a more competitive place to build and grow business. Decisions made in Springfield have a direct impact on the cost of operating in Illinois and ultimately play a role in whether manufacturers choose to invest and grow here.
“Manufacturing is the bedrock of Illinois’ economy, and we’re proud to recognize the elected officials who support policies that allow the industry to grow and thrive,” said Donovan Griffith, Executive Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer for the IMA.
Senator Arellano said he will continue working with manufacturers and businesses across the state to support policies that strengthen Illinois’ business climate and make the state a more attractive place to invest.
