This special service is held to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication our First Responders have shown as they answer the call to protect our communities. During the service, church leaders will offer a blessing for all firefighters, EMS personnel, police and the families who support them every day.
This year, the churches will honor what First Responders do to protect their cities and towns every day and will also reflect on and commemorate the downtown Prophetstown Main Street fire that these departments graciously responded to on July 15, 2013.
Responding departments were the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, Albany, Amboy, Annawan-Alba, Ashton, Atkinson, Camanche, Chadwick, Clinton, Coleta, Cordova, Dixon, Erie, Franklin Grove, Fulton, Geneseo, Harmon, Hillsdale, Hooppole, Lyndon, Milledgeville, Mt. Carroll, Morrison, Paw Paw, Port Byron, Rock Falls, Savanna, Sublette, Sterling, Tampico, Thomson, and Walnut.
The Churches of Prophetstown would be honored by your presence and to recognize your commitment to service and pray for your safety, strength, and protection in the year ahead.
