Illinois State Police Troop 1 Troopers issued 1,149 citations, 844 written warnings, and made 24 criminal arrests during the month of February. Troopers issued 485 citations for speeding, 24 citations for distracted driving violations and 48 citations for occupant restraint violations.
Troopers investigated 49 traffic crashes, assisted 176 motorists, and conducted 223 commercial motor vehicle inspections. There were 24 arrests for driving under the influence. Troop 1, which encompasses Boone, Carroll, Jo Daviess, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, Whiteside and Winnebago counties, investigated no fatal crashes in February.
