When you’re hot, you’re hot would best describe the current winning streak the EP volleyball team is riding. After coming home with a 5-0 trip to the Peral City Invitational last weekend EP continued its winning ways by defeating Princeton on the road Tuesday night.
The Panthers got off to a slow start against the Tigers as they fell in the first set 13-25. The team turned the tables in the second set. EP jumped out to 9-0 and built the advantage to 20-5 to cruise to a 25-12 win.
The third and deciding set was a battle. EP trailed early before tying the set a 7. Princeton responded to build a 15-11 advantage. The Panthers kept battling eventually tying the set at 19 with the Tigers forced to take a time out. The break actually benefited the Panthers as they scored the next 6 points to win the set 25-19. The Panthers own an 11-6 record.
The sophomore team won their match in two sets with the freshmen taking all three sets, 25-18, 27-25, 25-12.
The teams will be back in action on Wednesday as they host Rockridge.
