In what was described as an incredible atmosphere in the Panther’s Prophetstown gym as the Lady Panthers notched their 9th straight win as they defeated Rockridge in two sets, 25-15, 28-26 on Wednesday night.
After tying the first set at 7 EP took a 10-7 lead growing it to 15-10 and eventually 20-13. They rolled to a 25-15 win.
In the second set after trading points, the Rockets gained a 12-7 advantage and maintained it to a 17-12 lead. EP coach Heather Bruns took a time out timeout and the Panthers responded to tie the set at 18. The teams then traded points arriving at 23 all. The Rockets had the first chance win the set going up 24-23 but following a tremendous rally by both teams EP got the point to make it 24 all. The Panthers will travel to Monmouth-Roseville next Tuesday.
