Submitted

STERLING – The Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce’s Professional Women’s Network (PWN) will host “How to Tame Your Stress” presented by Natalie Moeller, LCSW, on Wednesday, September 30th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mexicali Rose, 1409 8th Ave, Rock Falls.

This presentation is the fourth session of PWN’s quarterly event series. PWN aims to bring professional and personal development opportunities to individuals across the Sauk Valley region. These opportunities are affordable ways to invest in yourself or your staff.

Traditional gender roles, societal expectations, and the mental load of balancing work, family, and household responsibilities can create chronic stress and burnout, contributing to higher rates of depression and anxiety among women. These pressures can also fuel perfectionism, guilt, and diminished self-worth. Moeller and participants will spend some time together to see how attendees can realign their lives to feel more content and reduce the negative effects that accumulate over time, especially for women.

Natalie J. Moeller, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has counseled children, adolescents, and adults for nearly 35 years. She is the owner and operator of the dynamic outpatient therapy group practice of Moeller, Myers & Associates, PC, in Sterling.

Natalie is a Certified Practitioner of the Traumatic Memories Protocol (fewer than 500 in the world), an Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She provides individual, couples, and family counseling for a variety of issues. Her areas of expertise include trauma treatment, depression, anxiety, grief & loss, divorce/separation, parenting, children/adolescents, communication issues, and stress management.

In addition to Moeller’s presentation, guests will have an opportunity to write a letter to their future-self. Attendees will be invited to write a letter that PWN will collect and mail to participants at a later date. The goal is for attendees to check in with themselves, set goals, or even send a little note of encouragement.

Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. The presentation will immediately follow. Tickets are $25 for SVACC members, and $45 for non-members. Please register by September 23rd at saukvalleyareachamber.com/pwn.
