Countryside Pumpkin Patch Opens for the Season with Friends & Family Day and Barn Craft Fair

By Sarah Ford, Managing Editor

Countryside Pumpkin Patch in Erie invites the community to their Friends & Family Day on Sunday, September 27th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and their Barn Craft Fair on Sunday, October 4th from noon to 5 p.m.

The farm officially opens for the season on Thursday, Sept. 24 from 2-5 p.m. Activities at the pumpkin patch this year include a corn pit, scavenger hunt, caution maze, bunny pen, mini pumpkin catapulting, pumpkin painting, mini music wall, photo props, and lots of pumpkins to choose from. Admission is free and so is the fun!

The U-pick flower patch is still open for $5 a basket full, and pumpkins cost $1-$10 from mini to extra large. They accept cash, Venmo, and CashApp.

Friends & Family Day is normally their seasonal opening, but due to the weather last weekend they rescheduled it to this Sunday. The event is open to the public and will include pumpkin patch activities, face painting for a $2 donation, and beef hot dog meals for a $3 donation, while supplies last.

The Countryside Barn Craft Fair on Saturday, Oct. 4th will feature 20 crafters bringing their handmade crafts, as well as a food vendor offering meal specials. The pumpkin patch will be open with all the activities, just no face painting. Come and shop from local artisans and crafters at this annual event!

Seasonal hours at the pumpkin patch are Thursdays and Fridays from 2-5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. through November 1st.
