In a series of 7 matches, the junior varsity team, led by coaches Emily Higgins and Dana Murphy, demonstrated their prowess by winning 6 out of the 7 matches. They emerged victorious against Riverdale, Rock Falls, Morrison, Geneseo, Princeton, and Newman, with their only loss coming at the hands of Moline.
The rankings were determined based on the average overall score, and EP stood out with the highest average, boasting an impressive 320 points per round. Over the course of the competition, the team notched up a total of 74 toss-ups and 145 bonuses. The team’s roster included several dedicated members:
- Freshman: Elijah Foster, William Kirk, Maddox Mix, Alex Ottens, Kayler Pritchard, and Marlee Stone.
- Sophomores: Brayden Peltier and Erin Plocinski.
Their exceptional performance earned them the coveted first-place trophy, and Kayler Pritchard was unanimously voted as the team MVP. Coaches Higgins and Murphy expressed immense pride in their team’s unwavering focus, cooperation, and endurance throughout the day.
