Hikers will meet at Lock 25 at 1:30 p.m., where they will be shuttled to Bridge 41 to begin the hike. Lock 25 is west of Geneseo. Take Route 6 west of Geneseo approximately 4 miles (or Route 6 east of Colona) to 900 E/Howard School Road (off of the big “S” curve). Take 900 E North about 4 miles, then after crossing the canal make a right onto 2227 N. The lock will then be about 2 miles.
You need not be a member of the Friends of the Hennepin Canal to participate, and there is no fee for the hike. Come and join in the fun and bring a friend! Organziers ask that you dress weather appropriately.
