Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at the Gibson-Bode Funeral Home in Erie. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Piz was born May 29, 1942, in Virginia, Illinois to Clifford and June (Gladwell) Olroyd. He was married to Evelyn Wyatt on December 6, 1976, in Dixon, Illinois. Piz worked for the railroad.
Piz enjoyed motorcycles, working in his garage, going to garage sales and his fish pond. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends
Piz is survived by his wife Evelyn Olroyd of Erie; son Richard (Katie) Wyatt of East Moline; son Loren (Cara) McNair of Metropolis; grandchildren Jacinta Allee of Washington DC; Chelsey McNair of Metropolis; Tyler McNair of Metropolis; and great grandchildren; brother Steve (Barb) Olroyd of Metropolis; brother Darrell (Vickie) Olroyd of Metropolis; brother Roger (Joy) Olroyd of Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters and brothers and son Jackie.
