Per Kevin’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery. A memorial to Alverno Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton, IA has been established by the family.
Kevin was born on April 29, 1959, to David L. and Judith A. (Rasmussen) Zuidema, in Clinton, IA. He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1977 graduate of Fulton High School. Kevin married Carmen Cruz-Van Kampen on June 29, 1986 in Fulton, IL, and together they had two children. They later divorced. He was employed by Drives in Fulton, IL, for many years. Kevin was a man who understood the beauty in the great outdoors. He enjoyed his time spent in nature and was especially fond of deer hunting. He was also a devoted NASCAR and Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by one daughter, Samantha (Andy) Ketelsen of Fulton, IL; one son, Jesse Zuidema of Papillion, NE; three grandchildren, Zander Ketelsen, Zavian Nielsen and Kenzie Ketelsen; one sister, Jennifer (James) Hatfield of Franklinton, NC; two brothers, Edward Zuidema of Fulton, IL and Curtis (Jennifer) Locey of Ankeny, IA; three step sisters, Dory Locey of Clinton, IA, Kaye Hoogerwerf of Peoria, IL and Tracey Ziegenhorn of Peoria, IL; three step brothers, Monte (Donette) Locey of Clinton, IA, Dan (Kelli) Stanton of South Padre Island, TX and Steve (Moira) Stanton of Cibolo, TX; he is also survived by his step mother, Joan Zuidema of Morrison, IL and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased relatives include, parents, David and Judith, step father, Cecil Locey, one brother, Michael Lee Zuidema, and his grandparents.
