She was born on November 28, 1931 in Tampico, the daughter of Harold E. and Luella M. (McCombs) Carlson. She married Jack Glassburn on October 6, 1951 in Sterling. Lois was employed as a lab technician at CGH Medical Center in Sterling for 40 years, retiring in March 1992. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and had volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul Pantry.
Survivors include her husband, Jack; daughter Jackie (Steve) Foster of Dixon; son, David Glassburn of Sterling; five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lucille Cady; brothers: Wayne Carlson and Neil Carlson.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 6, 2026 from 10 – 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, followed by the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Reverend James R. Keenan officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in her memory to St. Mary Catholic Church.
