They had three sons: Curt, Corey, and Craig. Rose and Doug lost their son, Corey, in a terrible accident when he was 7 years old.
Rose was co-owner/operator of Rock River Cartage alongside her husband, Doug, for over 40 years. Rock River Cartage is still in business today, owned and operated by their eldest son, Curt.
Rose enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She loved dogs and greatly missed her little toy poodle, Sukoshi. Rose was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls. She was a curious soul; she would often laugh and say, “You know me, I have to know why!” She had a giving heart; always stepping in to help if she heard of a loved one in need. She touched the lives of many. She loved the Lord our God. Towards the end of her life, she professed her readiness for her heavenly home and to meet Him in all His glory.
Survivors include 2 sons, Curt (Sharon) House and Craig (Elisabeth) House both of Sterling; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
