EP, 5-1, lost starting running back and linebacker, Tristan Hovey, on the second play of the game last Friday and it is doubtful he will play this week, according to coach Tyler Whitbread. The loss of Hovey put the Panthers in an unfamiliar position as they scrambled to fill the void in the contest.
In this week’s edition of Panther Points Preview, Whitebread talks about the loss at Rockridge and how the team responded to the injury to Hovey.
He also talks about this week’s opponent, calling them a very good 1-5 team that has battled every opponent to the final whistle.
Heading into week #7 the coach comments on the need for the Panthers to be better executing on both sides of the ball knowing that each opponent will be giving EP its best shot.
