Last year’s event on May 4 allowed middle and high school students and staff to tackle numerous projects at the schools and various locations around town. At the high school, some students hosted a bake sale and car wash, and some raked, weeded, and picked up litter on the school grounds. Students also helped with landscape projects at Winning Wheels, Allure of Prophetstown, 1st Gateway Credit Union, and with Prophetstown Proud’s planters. The youth also helped with projects at Lyndon and Tampico’s Historical Societies and at Richmond Park.
The students will rotate jobs throughout the morning and learn the value of giving back to the communities where they live. If local organizations or businesses supply the materials, PLT will supply the labor!
If your organization would like help with a project, please respond through this Google form.
