The Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Advancement Committee is excited to join in partnering with the University of Illinois Extension and the Whiteside Area Career Center for the second year of the event.
Participants will have the opportunity to spend the day touring local farms and businesses, hearing directly from producers and learning more about the agricultural systems that support the Sauk Valley. Guests will select their preferred tour locations from area farms, including JL Acres, Roots Market, Hohlen Homestead, S&J Hobby Farms, and All Good Things Foster and Family Lavender Farm. Guest have access to all tours but can attend as many or as few of the tours as their schedule permits.
The tours will conclude with a locally sourced dinner starting at 5:00 p.m. Dinner will be prepared by Whiteside Area Career Center Culinary Arts students, giving participants the chance to enjoy the Sauk Valley’s locally grown farm-fresh foods while celebrating the students and local producers who help bring the experience together.
Due to the event’s limited capacity, seating is expected to fill quickly. Registration is a two-step process. Participants can purchase their ticket and will then receive a separate link to select their preferred farm tour locations.
Tickets are $50 per person. Register at bit.ly/4c70Ci5 by September 3rd. For questions, contact the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce at 815-625-2400.
