While deputies addressed a few minor matters throughout the week, the fair was overall a safe and successful event.
Throughout the week, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies maintained a visible presence at the fairgrounds to help ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone attending. There was only one arrest during the fair. Deputies recognized an individual who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, and that individual was taken into custody without incident.
I want to personally thank everyone who attended the fair, the Whiteside County Fair Board, vendors, volunteers, exhibitors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this year’s fair a success. I also want to thank the men and women of the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office for their work throughout the week.
It was great seeing so many people out enjoying one of Whiteside County’s longstanding traditions. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Sheriff’s Office stand to say hello.
