Wednesday Heat in the Forecast
Whiteside County Health Department
The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities is alerting citizens to potentially dangerous heat tomorrow.
Even though Whiteside County is not included in the heat advisory at this time, the Whiteside County Health Department is sharing this information for situational awareness:
Dangerous heat is expected Wednesday, with afternoon heat indices between 100 and 105 degrees for northeast IA and far northwest IL and little relief during the overnight hours. Elsewhere, peak heat indices are still forecast in the 95 to 100 degree range.
Heat could persist through Friday, but cloud cover and precipitation chances introduce some uncertainty regarding the overall heat.
