The evening begins with an optional potluck dinner and social hour at 6 p.m., followed by music at 7 p.m. Guests who wish to participate in the potluck are encouraged to bring a dish to share.
Rooted in Americana and sun-soaked California soul, Los Angeles native David Rosales delivers a guitar-driven sound that evokes the warmth of ’70s Laurel Canyon. His music combines heartfelt songwriting with a relaxed West Coast spirit, brought to life onstage by His Band of Scoundrels.
Rosales introduced his full-length solo debut, Brave Ones, in 2018, followed by REVIVE in 2022 and its companion EP, TRAILS, in 2023. His touring career has included sharing stages with artists such as Brandi Carlile, Ben Harper, Counting Crows, Chris Isaak, and Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers, along with an appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest.
Now working on his third full-length album, Rosales is exploring the twang and shimmer of vintage ’60s surf rock. Audiences can expect a live show that brings together songs from his established catalogue and the evolving sounds of his next chapter.
Opening band J. Killen brings an earthy roots-rock sound and emotionally direct songwriting. The song “White Light” pairs warm harmonies, a rolling guitar riff, and expressive pedal steel with a story about loneliness giving way to unexpected love.
Beyond the stage, Rosales is co-founder of the BraveOnes Foundation, a Huntington Beach-based children’s charity recognized by Children’s Hospital of Orange County with its 2023 Charley Award for Most Outstanding Organization.
The concert is open to all ages, with a suggested donation of $20–30. Seating is limited, and advance reservations through Eventbrite are encouraged. An option is available to reserve a seat and pay cash at the door.
Presented by Crossroads Cultural Connections, this concert continues the organization’s mission of bringing meaningful, high-quality live music experiences to Henry County and surrounding communities.
