Earlier this month, Prophetstown Area Historical Society’s Fred South put a lot of smiles on faces with his look back at Prophetstown’s annual Kid’s Day event. Several readers related their memories of the June kid’s holiday.
This time South shares the origin of the event and how it evolved from the long running Rooster Booster Day, which drew thousands of people to the town.
